The CAA Dance Center offers a wide range of curriculums for children and adults of all ages.  Dance styles include, but are not limited to, Chinese Classical Dance, Chinese Folk Dance, Modern Dance, Ballet, Yoga & Pilates, and Aerobics.

Chinese Classical Dance (Ages 7 and up) – Classical Dance is usually closely connected to traditional Chinese operas.  This ancient Chinese dance form reflects a rich and distinctive dance tradition in China.  Its techniques are similar to ballet fundamentals of muscle toning, poise, posture, flexibility, stamina and endurance.  Our class emphasis is placed on the techniques, and the origin, historical background, and cultural significance.

Chinese Folk Dance (All ages) - One of the most beautiful, graceful, and energetic art forms in the world, Chinese folk dances exhibits the customs and styles of a particular region.  Our program offers students structured training to master unique dance styles such as Han, Wei, Tibetan, Mongolian, Chaoxian and Dai.  Students are systematically trained in folk dance techniques, performing skills, and techniques of hand props such as fans, handkerchiefs, and ribbons.

Ballet (All ages) – Ballet provides good foundation for all dance subjects.  Our class teaches proper positions of the feet and arms, alignment, ballet vocabulary, barre exercises and center work.  We focus on providing students with exercises that develops strength, coordination, grace, poise, flexibility, endurance and provide a foundation that can be applied to all dance styles.

Yoga & Pilates (Adults) We use postures combined with breathing practices and relaxation to help you stretch, unwind and release mental and physical tension. It is totally non-competitive, following the principle that you only work within your own limits of comfort.

Aerobics (Adults) - Our popular class for adults uniquely blends Chinese dance techniques and modern dance exercises.  These exercises are based on lyrically athletic movements, styles and combine various body therapies & somatic techniques of modern dance.

Repertory Workshops (All ages) - Experience in learning, rehearsing, and perfecting concert dance pieces under the direction of the choreographer and stage director.
